Style

The style of yoga that Jacqui teaches combines breath and movement in a series of dynamic flows called vinyasas. This style incorporates both dynamic movement and static holding of postures, enabling practitioners to develop strength as well as flexibility.

Postures are adapted to meet the needs of the students instead of the students having to "fit" into a posture. This enables students of all abilities to enjoy the benefits of yoga.

This way of teaching was developed by Sri Krishnamacharya, a famous yogi who taught many of the famous teachers today such as Sri BKS Iyengar (Iyengar yoga) and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (Ashtanga yoga). His son T.K.V. Desikachar continues to develop this style of yoga today.
